This is an exciting time to be joining our Publishing Group as a Content Editor as we develop new digital products for our customers.

The Publishing Group is responsible for the development, maintenance and production of the UKHO’s extensive range of navigational and situational awareness Publications. These publications are online/digital, in bespoke apps and printed. This task encompasses the full spectrum of activity, from product updating and delivery, to the development of new products to meet the changing needs of our customers and ensure safety of life at sea. Content Editors continuously update and develop this extensive range of Publications with support from Subject Matter Experts, users of these Publications and technological advances.

Maintaining our range of Publications is very much a team effort and Content Editors can be expected to contribute at every stage of the process whilst liaising closely with a wide range of other colleagues. From researching and assessing the impact of new information, updating publications, editing imagery through to preparing Publications for printing or digital distribution.

In this instance one post sits within a Publications Team where the balance of activity is on the assessment of information, as opposed to the preparation for publication.
